I decided to do some cooking again last night. Thai this time. The menu was:

Crispy fried fish with chilli, garlic and wilted basil
Lon gang (coconut cream, green mango, chillis and minced prawns with veggies for dipping)
Long beans with pork and roasted chilli paste
Thick curry of beef with peanuts
Stuffed bitter melon soup
Rice

The lon gang could have had a thicker texture but tasted ok and, man, are bitter melons ever bitter despite being salted and blanched before cooking. The fish was great and proved hugely popular with the kitten who is turning into a fish fiend which is odd as neither of the bengals has ever cared for fish at all.
