A very silly game from [livejournal.com profile] felinitykat

ATTENTION PLEASE: I would like your assistance in keeping me amused!

I want to test how well I know you all. With this in mind I have turned off IP address logging, and am temporarily allowing anonymous comments. I would like you to leave a comment , saying exactly what you might say anyway, but doing so anonymously so that I can see if I can recognise you from your writing style. A minimum word limit of 20 words, perhaps?

I know it makes the whole commenting lark a lot more artificial (especially as all you have to comment on is me talking about you commenting), but humour me? I'm fascinated to see if I can spot people purely from the style in which they write. If this post doesn't inspire you then feel free to comment here in response to another post (but let me know which one!).

(Only disclaimer: if you never usually comment on my journal, or even worse never comment here or update your own journal, then you're not really qualified to join in the game as I don't stand a chance. Unless you're someone I know really, really well in Real Life.)

So comment, pretty please! Say anything you like, really, provided you don't deliberately change your style just to fox me.

And if I guess wrong (and I bet I do) then don't be offended...

Also not correct. Would you like to try again? I'm a newer friend, and a friend of a friend, if it helps ... Fond of both Blackadder and Monty Python. Have a love for things both past and speculatively future.

nope -- not a knitter. But I do also have a blogspot blog, which is less personal and has slightly more to do with my dayjob. The mutual friend who introduced us is in a similar line of business, and you are pretty much the only person on my flist who isn't. I have a bad tendency towards procrastination, and I am always buried under piles of work as I try to be like my more disciplined and successful friends. Pedantic about language use outside of quickly-typed blog entries, that's me.

Also, you'll have to go only by flist and my writing if you are looking at profiles. I haven't listed interests as yet. But my musical tastes, as mentioned in my posts, are somewhat varied.

Why, yes? Which hint gave it away? Or was it, in fact, the writing?

By the way, am now listening to a very cool song. May even work it into my WWII class -- The Waifs' "Bridal Train." I did not know before hearing this song that the US transported a boatload of Aussie war brides to the US after the war. Not that anybody cares -- I just think it's kind of neat ;-)

Recent add to flist. No interests defined. Other friends in the same professional field.

I thought it would be rather obvious from that ;-)
