It is still fucking freezing cold and spring seems as though it's never going to come so today, though a holiday, didn't really cut it. Tomorrow the lemur and I have tickets to see the Met's HD broadcast of Tristan und Isolde. Since this last's almost as long as a Canadian winter, tomorrow morning willbe a mad scramble to get the shoppng done and sandwiches made before heading out to secure seats. it's a 12.30 curtain so we need to be there by maybe 11.30. We have dinner reservations at Le Select for afterwards.
Sunday I intend to restock the freezer with Indian vegetarian goodies of many kind so it will be a bit of a cookathon. I am thinking of a potato dish, rama dal, Punjabi mixed greens, spiced cabbage and onions, smoky aubergine and a cauliflower dish. There are still a couple of containers of channa masalada in the freezer so that should keep us going for a while.
Then back to the cancer pits, where things are winding down, on Monday.

Date: 2008-03-22 03:30 pm (UTC)After I win the 6/49 tonight, you may never have to visit the cancer pits again;)
I'm off to see Blasté (Blasted) tonight with Roy Dupuis. I believe that'll keep my mind off the cold as well.
Courage, my fellow Canadian! We are the strong, the brave. We shall overcome... *drowns in mixed metaphors*
