I have no love for either of them, but realised as we came into extra time that I seemed to have a slight preference for Man U. I do feel sorry for Terry, but if Anelko hadn't missed too it could have been Ronaldo who was just as gutted: you could see he was feeling pretty emotional about it all too.
It's interesting that the football field is one of the rare places where men can openly hug each other for comfort as well as celebration, and express real heartfelt emotion without being mocked for it.
Apparently, Ronaldo missed a recent penalty in an indentical fashion - plus stopping just before you hit the ball is illegal (as is the keeper jumping up and down waving his arms - before you hit the ball).

The match didn't grab me - I disliked both teams equally; but the penalties were so painful. I really felt for John Terry.
And of course now they have sacked Avram Grant. Fergusson can't last long - the knives will be out...
