But Ronaldo missing a penalty? WTF?

Maybe it'll deflate his ego a little?

I have no love for Chelsea, but man it was heartbreaking looking at John Terry's face at the end of the match.

I have no love for either of them, but realised as we came into extra time that I seemed to have a slight preference for Man U. I do feel sorry for Terry, but if Anelko hadn't missed too it could have been Ronaldo who was just as gutted: you could see he was feeling pretty emotional about it all too.

It's interesting that the football field is one of the rare places where men can openly hug each other for comfort as well as celebration, and express real heartfelt emotion without being mocked for it.

Great match to watch.

Me, I'm just glad it was won on a save -- especially considering how long I've kept Van der Sar as my fantasy league keeper!

I think I first stood on the terraces at Old Trafford round about 1966. My grandfather was going to games before WW1.

Apparently, Ronaldo missed a recent penalty in an indentical fashion - plus stopping just before you hit the ball is illegal (as is the keeper jumping up and down waving his arms - before you hit the ball).

The things you learn on Radio 5Live.

The match didn't grab me - I disliked both teams equally; but the penalties were so painful. I really felt for John Terry.

And of course now they have sacked Avram Grant. Fergusson can't last long - the knives will be out...

Ferguson has his job for as long as he wants it. He is as unsackable as matt busby was.
