Food shopping and stuff
Dec. 22nd, 2006 12:53 pmPhase 1b of Christmas shopping is complete. T have a prime rib roast for Christmas dinner, salmon (currently morphing into gravlax in the fridge) and the all essential cheese. I have a Chambertin, some raw milk Double Gloucester, Colston Bassett Stilton and Maxi-Dome goat cheese from the Auvergne.
Phase 1a was the booze shopping last weekend. We have decent sherry, port, Laphraoig, Calvados and Bulgarian plum brandy. The cellar is in good shape so there is no need to buy wine other than everyday plonk.
Tomorrow I shall buy veggies and bread and so forth. Ingredients for highly non-traditional Thai Christmas Eve can wait until Sunday.
I have no idea what is going on with LJ. I can't even ping chickenfeet2003.livejournal.com but apparently others can see it. I can access the LJ portal and read recent friends entries but not my friends page. It really is quite bizarre.
